Duoprob 60-UP is an impact-style soil sampler engineered for depths up to 60 cm. Operators can choose between layered sampling and standard single-layer sampling.

In the layered "60 cm N-mineral" program the grooved rod is hammered to 75 cm with the hydraulic impact drive, rotated 100 degrees, and withdrawn. As it comes up, the 0-30 cm horizon drops into Magazine Container I. After the magazine tray shifts sideways, the 30-60 cm horizon empties into Container II. The remaining 15 cm of material seals the rod and is discarded.

Standard programs without layer separation handle 0-10 cm pasture samples or 0-30 cm arable samples. In these modes you can collect two composite samples of 15 punches each before emptying the magazine in one go.

The desired program is selected via the rotary switch on the control panel. DP60-UP is managed from a wired handset that includes emergency stop, punch start, punch cancel, and a counter.

The machine needs a 12 V DC supply plus a hydraulic output of 24 liters per minute at up to 140 bar.

DP60-UP works as a tractor-mounted implement, but it can also be installed on:

- Purpose-built trailers such as AH1 or AH2

- Pickups

- Light UTVs like John Deere Gator, Kawasaki Mule, Kubota RTV, and similar.

Vehicles without their own hydraulic supply can run an auxiliary power pack.

The impact design makes DP60-UP exceptionally fast and dependable for intensive sampling.

Key features

  • Impact drive penetrates tough soils.
  • The grooved rod is hammered in with a Lifton hammer (2,500 strokes/min), rotated hydraulically, and pulled out.
  • Samples empty automatically into the appropriate containers while the rod rises.
  • Layered material is routed to the right magazine containers by sliding the tray.
